About us

We treat every soldier like family.

The Fallen Soldiers Organization, Inc. helps soldiers and their families through homecoming, loss, discharge and everything in between.

Who we are

We work with soldiers coming home from duty overseas, connecting them with community resources. We help soldiers re-enter civilian life with help finding jobs and housing. We stand by the families of fallen soldiers. And we give emotional and practical support to soldiers who have been discharged, court-martialed or incarcerated, and to their families, because we believe in second chances.

Our aim is to supplement existing military and government services, filling the gaps where soldiers and families fall through the cracks.

What we do

Coming home

Soldiers returning from a war zone are glad to be home but often struggle to adjust, sometimes with PTSD or other invisible wounds. We help them find mental health care and support their families through the transition.

Re-entering civilian life

We help with resumes, job searches, career fairs and interview practice, and walk soldiers through applying for VA benefits, the GI Bill and VA home loans, every step of the way.

Help with the paperwork

We don't hand out money. What we do is sit down with soldiers and families and help fill out the forms that unlock what they have earned: VA claims, survivor benefits, records requests, and discharge upgrade and clemency applications.

Families of the fallen

We help Gold Star and surviving families understand and apply for survivor benefits, and we stay by your side through every form and phone call. Family guide

A second chance

For soldiers who were treated unfairly, discharged under less than honorable conditions, or court-martialed, we help prepare discharge upgrade and clemency applications. We also partner with legal counsel who can review your case and represent you. Discharge & clemency guide

Soldiers in prison

We visit, write letters and support the families of incarcerated soldiers, and when soldiers are released, we help them make a smooth return to civilian life.

Insurance for your family

Military life insurance ends soon after you separate. We work with a licensed insurance broker who helps soldiers and veterans get life insurance, mortgage protection and final expense coverage. Insure your loved ones

Our mission

  • To help the families of our fallen soldiers fill out the forms and secure the survivor benefits they are owed.
  • To help veterans and transitioning soldiers apply for the VA benefits they have earned.
  • To help soldiers who were treated unfairly, discharged under less than honorable conditions, or court-martialed under the UCMJ prepare discharge upgrade and clemency applications, and give them a second chance at a better future.
  • To partner with legal counsel so soldiers who need representation can get it.
  • To work with a licensed insurance broker so soldiers and their families can get life insurance, mortgage protection and final expense coverage after military coverage ends.

Our vision

No soldier or family will face the system alone. Every family of the fallen will receive the benefits they are owed. Every veteran will claim what they earned. Every soldier who was put out of the military will get a fair second chance, and every military family will stay protected long after the uniform comes off.

Who we serve

Every request is screened and reviewed case by case. We do not provide assistance to individuals convicted of war crimes, drug offenses, sexual offenses, theft, or violent acts. We do not endorse devious or violent behavior.

Support our mission

Government funding for programs like ours is very limited. Your support keeps our doors open so we can help families file for survivor benefits, help veterans claim what they have earned, and help soldiers pursue discharge upgrades and clemency, all at no cost to them.
